Obtaining Medicines

All Commitment to Access medicines (except for BEXXAR) are mailed to the patient's prescriber or patient in 30-day quantities. After the enrollment phone call, the Advocate should fax a 30-day prescription (with up to 13 refills) to 1-800-750-9832.

BEXXAR distribution is handled through the BEXXAR Service Center. Advocates enrolling BEXXAR patients will be advised how to obtain BEXXAR at the time of enrollment.

Each subsequent refill must be requested by calling 1-8-ONCOLOGY1 at least 7 to 10 business days before the patient’s existing supply of medicine is completed, or prior to the next scheduled treatment date.

Helpful hints for writing prescriptions for Commitment to Access:

  • In addition to the GSK brand name, strength, dosage and directions, write the patient's Commitment to Access ID number on the prescription(s). This number can be found in the top right corner of the enrollment form.
  • The Pack Slip accompanying each mail order shipment will contain useful information about ordering refills including the earliest date to call for a refill.

Before requesting a refill, please verify the following:

  • The patient is currently eligible in Commitment to Access.
  • There is an active drug authorization for the medication(s) requested.
  • There is a valid prescription(s) on file.
