Obtaining Medicine

To Receive Medication

All COMMITMENT TO ACCESS^® medicines (except for BEXXAR)* are mailed to your prescriber or to you directly, based on program guidelines per medication.
In order to receive medicine by mail, Commitment to Access must receive your application, income documentation, and a prescription for GlaxoSmithKline medicine.
The prescription (with up to 13 refills if medically appropriate) should be faxed by your Advocate to 1-800-750-9832 (fax) and must include your patient ID number, name and date-of-birth.
For re-enrollment patients:
- Upon receipt and approval of the completed re-enrollment application, proof of income and a valid prescription, you will be authorized to receive up to 360 days of additional medicine, shipped in 30-day increments.

To Order Refills

To order refills, call 1-8ONCOLOGY1 (1-866-265-6491). Refills can be requested by either the patient or the Advocate refills for oral tablets can be requested by the patient. IV drug refills must be requested by the advocate.
Be sure to order your refills at least 2 weeks before you run out of medicine or 7-10 days before the next treatment. Refills will not be sent automatically.
Refills are sent at no cost to you for up to 12 months after your enrollment in Commitment to Access.
Refills can be sent to your prescriber's office or directly to your home based on program guidelines per medication.
For re-enrollment patients:
- If you are determined eligible for continued assistance through Commitment to Access, your first fill will automatically be sent to the address provided on the application.
- You and your Advocate should continue to order refills as needed by calling 1-8ONCOLOGY1 (1-866-265-6491) at least 2 weeks before medicine supply runs out or 7 to 10 days before the next scheduled treatment. Refills will not be sent automatically.

*BEXXAR distribution is handled through the BEXXAR Service Center. Advocates enrolling BEXXAR patients will be advised how to obtain BEXXAR at the time of enrollment.
